Kanpur EV manufacturing park is set to redefine Uttar Pradesh’s industrial landscape with a ₹700 crore investment under the Kanpur Metropolitan Development Vision 2030. Announced on June 16, 2025, this ambitious project by the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) will span 500 acres near Bhimsen, strategically located along the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC). Designed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, the park aims to position Kanpur as a cornerstone of India’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, fostering indigenous manufacturing and strengthening local supply chains. The initiative, part of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, will include units for producing electric motors, chassis, steel parts, lithium-ion batteries, chargers, and controllers, alongside a dedicated research and development (R&D) center to drive innovation.
The Kanpur EV manufacturing park is more than an industrial hub—it’s an economic catalyst.
