Mala Papalkar MPSC Success: Blind Woman’s Journey from Dustbin to Government Job

Hey, everyone! I just read about Mala Papalkar MPSC Success, and OMG, it’s the most inspiring story ever! Mala Papalkar, a 26-year-old from Amravati, Maharashtra, passed the MPSC Group C exam in 2023 and is now going to be a revenue assistant at the Nagpur collector’s office. But you won’t believe what she’s been through to get here—she was left in a dustbin as a baby and lost most of her eyesight by age 10! Her story’s all over the news, and it’s giving me goosebumps!

Mala was found at Jalgaon railway station 25 years ago, all alone and super tiny. The police took her to a remand home, and then she went to an ashram in Wazzar, Amravati, run by this amazing guy, Shankar Baba Papalkar, who’s a Padma Shri winner. He named her Mala Papalkar and treated her like his own daughter. When she got to the ashram, they found out she could only see 5% of things because she’s visually impaired. She was also really weak, but Shankar Baba helped her grow strong and believed she could do big things.

Mala studied at Swami Vivekanand Blind School and Bhiwapurkar Blind School, learning in Braille, which is like reading with your fingers. A kind man named Prakash Tople Patil paid for her college, and she got 60% in 10th grade and 65% in college at Vidarbha Mahavidyalaya. She even did a Master’s degree at Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities! Shankar Baba told her competitive exams could change her life, so in 2019, she joined Unique Academy with a teacher named Amol Patil to study for MPSC.

Studying wasn’t easy for Mala. Since she’s blind, she couldn’t just read books like us. Her teacher had to find audiobooks or record lessons himself so she could listen and learn. The COVID pandemic made things worse because she had to study online, which must’ve been super hard. She tried the MPSC exam for a tehsildar post twice, in 2022 and 2023, but didn’t make it. But Mala didn’t give up! She took the MPSC Group C clerk-typist exam in 2023, and after a skill test, her name was on the final result list on April 18, 2025. That’s Mala Papalkar MPSC Success for you!

Mala’s story is so cool because she faced so many tough things—being abandoned, losing her sight, and studying in a way most of us can’t imagine. But she kept going, thanks to Shankar Baba, her teachers, and her own super strong heart. She told a newspaper she’s a bit nervous about moving to Nagpur and leaving the ashram, but I bet she’ll do awesome at her new job. She even said she wants to take care of Shankar Baba when he’s older, which is so sweet!

People on X are going wild about her, calling her a hero and saying her story’s like a movie. I totally agree! Mala’s not stopping here—she wants to try the UPSC exam next, which is even harder. Her success shows that no matter how hard life is, you can still chase your dreams. I hope she knows how many kids like me look up to her!So, what do you think about Mala Papalkar MPSC Success? Isn’t she amazing? Her story makes me want to work harder at school and never complain when things get tough. Let’s cheer for Mala and maybe try to be a little braver like her
