Oh my gosh, you guys, have you heard about Tanya Gupta UPSC AIR 720? Tanya Gupta from Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, is like a real-life superhero! She got All India Rank 720 in the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2024, and it took her five tries and seven years to do it. Her story’s so cool because she kept going even after losing her dad when she was super little. I saw it on news sites like Hindustan Times, and it’s all over X too
Tanya’s from Dibiyapur, a small town in Auraiya. When she was only two and a half, her dad, Krishna Gopal Gupta, passed away from an illness in 2000. That must’ve been so hard! Her mom and grandma stepped up to take care of her and made sure she could study. Tanya went to NTPC School in Dibiyapur and was a total star, topping her district in 12th grade. Then her family sent her to Delhi, where she studied at Hansraj College, one of the best colleges in Delhi University. She got her BSc and MSc there, which is like super smart! While in college, she started studying for UPSC, which is this crazy tough exam that lakhs of people take.
But here’s the thing—Tanya didn’t win the first time. Or the second, third, or fourth! She tried four times and didn’t make it, which probably made her super sad. Her mom told Good News Today that Tanya studied day and night, never complaining, just talking about books and exams. Her uncle, Dr. Shyam Gupta, a famous eye doctor, said she’s always been super calm and disciplined. I bet she stayed up late with piles of books, maybe drinking chai to stay awake, while her mom prayed for her. After seven years of hard work, she finally got AIR 720 on April 22, 2025, out of 1,009 people who passed. That’s huge!
Tanya’s whole town is throwing a party! People are bringing sweets to her house, and her family’s so happy. On X, everyone’s saying she’s “Auraiya’s pride” and a role model for girls (@HindiKhabar, @UPTakOfficial). She’s going to be an IRS officer, which means she’ll work with taxes and help the country. I think it’s so cool that she didn’t give up, even when things were tough. Losing her dad so young and failing four times could’ve made her quit, but she kept studying, probably in a tiny Delhi room with no distractions.I told my friends about Tanya Gupta UPSC AIR 720, and we all want to be brave like her! Her story makes me want to try harder, even when my science homework feels impossible. I hope she becomes a super cool officer and helps kids in Auraiya get better schools or something. What do you think about Tanya Gupta UPSC AIR 720? Isn’t she amazing? Let’s cheer for her and maybe study a little more, just like she did! I bet she’s going to shine at the training academy in Mussoorie!
